What are peptides?
Peptide therapies are actually a “catch-all” term used to describe this class of hormone-boosting, over the counter (OTC) supplements, protein powders and injectables used to directly link to signals sent between cells in your body. Peptides have multiple uses and different benefits. Structurally, peptides are short-chain amino acids, best described as the building blocks of protein. Since peptides are smaller than other amino acids, they are broken down easier, and enter the bloodstream faster; hence, they are more easily absorbed. Peptides use their own innate abilities to promote the healing of skin, muscles, ligaments, tendons, bones, and joints.
If you are looking to gain strength or muscle mass from workouts, peptides can help! If you are planning elective surgery, or are recovering from surgery, peptides can help support healing and tissue repair. Additionally, if you are suffering from a chronic immune system imbalance, peptides can help support the fight against bacterial, viral, and fungal infections, and can reduce oxidative stress.
